STEEL PRODUCTS
THE WORLD’S BEST STEEL BRANDS
CURATED FOR YOU
HSPP has an extensive inventory of high-strength and abrasion-resistant steel plate and sheet. Our HS category approach offers world-class quality and reliability at exceptional value. Each HS category offers a curated collection of globally recognized brands at competitive prices. These products are grouped together under a single heading, each representing a single high-strength or abrasion-resistant grade.
The HS 100 category, for example, groups together Q&T, TMCP, A514 and 100XF “100 grade” products, all with minimum 100ksi yield strength (in the base thicknesses), while the HS 400 category brings together selected AR 400 brands, both quenched and cut to length, all with nominal hardness of 400 BHN.
Surface quality, flatness, and full traceability are at the core of our HS approach. We store all of our steel inventory indoors. We require the surface condition of most of our steel to be shot-blasted and primed, surface critical or, in some cases, coated with a rust inhibitor. We order our steel to 1/2 A6 flatness or better. We don’t accept wider variations in flatness in exchange for lower prices, and we don’t buy from reject lists.
We carry stock from Algoma Steel, the only Canadian producer of heat-treated steel. We also carry steel in selected grades from NLMK Clabecq (Belgium), Dillinger (Germany), voestalpine (Austria), JFE (Japan), Cleveland-Cliffs (USA), Nucor (USA), SSAB (USA / Sweden / Finland), Ilsenburger (Germany), Jiangyin Xingcheng (China), and Swebor (Sweden).
We assign each plate and offcut a unique bar-coded number that preserves traceability back to the original mill test certificate. As a result, we can provide mill test certificates for every order, even for processed parts.
Ask us for an HS category, an engineering specification, or a specific trade name. In either case, we provide the optimum results from a top-tier producer. We can gladly supply mill test reports so you always know exactly what steel, from what mill, you’re getting.
